Guys, if the upper and lower are geared like that .........could a Shoulder Throw turn the Hips? Thats what my swing feels like. When ever I start trying to fire the Hips to pull the shoulders or whatever all hell breaks loose.
This could be due to lumbar problems or Lard Assis, not sure which.

We should probably go down to Hawaii and check everything out for ourselves. After all, they know their hula-hula down there. Maybe we could even throw in a couple golf rounds!

With my left hip being plastic and metal, it always feels like I shift laterally with my hip when I raise my front shoulder just a bit. Daryl, thanks for that nice PGA link and the nice hip shift diagrams, yesterday.
I was able to simply bump or thrust about 150 balls down the middle using angled or horizontal hinging. Does it seem to both of you that the last thought you have before the swing is over is to bump or thrust?
The swing happens so fast!
OB, Daryl does seem like a pretty nice guy, after all!

I think you will get a hip turn when you do a Shooulder Turn Throw. Don't know whether it's a cause and effect thing though. Could also be partly common causes from the feet.
I never try to fire the Hips to turn the shoulders. I fire the right hip and try to hold the shoulders back. Quite similar to shoulder throw, although I rarely use the sharp initial acceleration. Then I fire the left hip I pull the shoulder and the arm and the club. While I turn the shoulders.

Hi Bernt! Maybe because of all my hip operations, I just cannot consciously trigger all those components or even feel them.
Still, it is really fun to know that I an bump to the left in a variety of ways and watch the swing blur by! I feel like I am doing the "crapsmacker" when I bump left and sidearm toss the right elbow and forearm.
I guess this is just plain (plane) fun!

Wow, you hit the nail on the head.
Hip Action. Now you're like a kid in a candy store.
Hey, that metal and plastic Hip may be illegal in tournament play.

City , it sounds like you are doing some Hitting! Crapsmacker, sidearm toss of elbow and forearm, etc. Hitters and right Arm Swingers dont necessarily "swing from the feet" , use the 6-M-1 Sequence..........which sounds like it could be a good pattern for you given your artificial hip maybe?
RFT, Towell Snap! Suddenly I realized my hands were screaming down plane! So RFT, fire hands and pp#3 as a thrust. The range ball rolled to the 250 marker.
Thanks OB for the help you've given along with all the other great instructors!
