This is where I work, teach, and play so I am very excited to have this event here.
This is a landmark happ'nin'. A college-sponsored PGA TOUR event on a world-class golf course. A few weeks ago, Jeff Hull gave me a personal cart ride and overview of the near-clubhouse holes. Wow!

Now then, how do we make sure "The Gnome" tees it up in the event next April? No worries, I'm sure Jeff has a plan of his own!

Nothing would make me happier than to tee it up at my home course! The Section Player of the Year gets first dibs so that would be the plan. WE also have a Section 2 spoter a few weeks before. One of my main obstacles is my boss, Matt Peterson, the current Player of the year in the Georgia Section, a former Nationwide Tour Stud, and a graduate of The University of Georgia. Other obstacles would include the many former UGA players on the Nationwide and PGA Tour who would likely want one of those coveted sponsor exemptions.

Looks like the Gnome is going to have to get in the old fashioned way ....EARN IT!

It sounds like the US Congress is running the tournament (or any Government Bureaucracy).

I'm jealous, Alex!! Our plans to play the UGA course this spring were rained out. Hoping to get back down to Athens to play it.

Good luck qualifying, Jeff; we're all pulling for you!

Can't thank Jeff enough for facilitating that round and his overall generosity on the day.

Live in hope of doing it all again sometime soon. Only better next time!
