I'm not trying to get the swingweight back to where it was. Most(many) people won't notice a change when cutting down a putter, however in my experience, with several guys in Europe, is that they are playing with shorter putters and they are backweighting them. Getting weight nearer the hands. Yes putters has a new weighting device that is solely focused on getting weight nearer the hands. The Yes rep for the Futures Tour told me that he backweights a lot of putters there also. Happy Holidays to all!

Allan,
Gotcha, I'll have to check into that.
Happy Holidays to you as well!

Got the new putter today. In addition to being 1.5" shorter it has a different neck (a plumbers neck) and a different grip. I was using a large Iomic and the new putter has a standard Gripmaster. The feel is totally different between the two putters.
It's raining so I can't take it to the practice green. Putting around the house, it seems noticeably tighter. By tighter it's like the clubface is a lot more connected to my hands. I feel I have more control with this new one. Maybe it's the grip? Neck? Length? All the above? Hopefully it's not the honeymoon period but I'm hitting almost every spot in the carpet I aim at. I even bumped 5 balls up against each other from different areas/distances around the room.

NICE, congrats on your new putter. If it works once, you should be confident that it will work again. Nothing like the confidence gained in a piece of equipment that is properly fit, and properly balanced. Go out, practice, and make a bunch of birdies!
