During a one day session with Yoda last Thanksgiving, we worked on moving my procedure to a purer version of Hitting. One key was to shorten my back swing (drive loading) and then thrust the #3 PP at the ball. We even worked on some drills of throwing a golf ball in my right hand at the ball on the ground and another drill to throw the dowel like a javelin at the ball. I find when I try to execute on this move / delivery line, I get into episodes of experiencing "hosel rockets" (aka sh__ks). Some of this feels to be a reversion back to pivot controlled hands on the down swing. The best cure has been to focus on driving the hands rather back to the Impact Fix position which is more over my left foot. Am I missing something here on the original concept? Based on Mr. Kelly's belief that the most important swing thought is "tracing the correct plane with the right forearm", I need to get very clear on the targets for my hands with a turned shoulder plane.
In addition, I am struggling to get a consistent feeling of lag pressure against the #3 PP. I seem to be fighting to find the appropriate "club head overtaking" process. There was an earlier post about understanding: 1) the Shaft Rotates around the Sweet Spot (and not the other way around); 2) the Hands Rotate around each other and 3) there is a definite Clubhead (Sweet Spot) overtaking of the Hands during the Impact Interval. I assume these comments are true for both Hitting and Swinging but might have slight variations. I'd love to see a more detailed treatment of this whole subject as it relates to Hitting and it's one ripe for a video clip!

Thanks for all the help!

Lots of meat for comment here, PH17. I've bolded the initial target areas and will begin tomorrow!
I have clubs, dowels, paddles and impact bag all staged and ready for deployment.
By the way, one of your recent posts struck a nerve ...
Also, Mr. Kelley had no quarrel with Hitters who choose to initiate the Start Down with the Swinger's Standard Wrist Action (and not the Hitter's Single Wrist Action) in order to prevent driving the Hosel (only) -- and not the Sweet Spot -- toward Impact.
Are "Hosel Rockets" the result of driving the Hosel vs the Sweet Spot and if so, how does one flip the switch back to the Sweet Spot.
I've got lots of range time this weekend so give me a nugget to begin with 'cause right now, I'm just whistling in the dark.
