One key was to shorten my back swing (drive loading) and then thrust the #3 PP at the ball. We even worked on some drills of throwing a golf ball in my right hand at the ball on the ground and another drill to throw the dowel like a javelin at the ball. I find when I try to execute on this move / delivery line, I get into episodes of experiencing "hosel rockets" (aka sh__ks). Some of this feels to be a reversion back to pivot controlled hands on the down swing. The best cure has been to focus on driving the hands rather back to the Impact Fix position which is more over my left foot. Am I missing something here on the original concept? Based on Mr. Kelly's belief that the most important swing thought is "tracing the correct plane with the right forearm", I need to get very clear on the targets for my hands with a turned shoulder plane. In addition, I am struggling to get a consistent feeling of lag pressure against the #3 PP. I seem to be fighting to find the appropriate "club head overtaking" process. There was an earlier post about understanding: 1) the Shaft Rotates around the Sweet Spot (and not the other way around); 2) the Hands Rotate around each other and 3) there is a definite Clubhead (Sweet Spot) overtaking of the Hands during the Impact Interval. I assume these comments are true for both Hitting and Swinging but might have slight variations. I'd love to see a more detailed treatment of this whole subject as it relates to Hitting and it's one ripe for a video clip! Thanks for all the help!
