What I saw of Kite's putting was serious throw away (left wrist breakdown) on his PUTTS. He was setup with what should have been a shoulders only powered stroke, but was using his hands and arms - hence the breakdown in the left wrist. The imperatives and essentials apply to putts just as much as to drives.
