Homers string on a clubhead experiment demonstrated pure CF induced Horizontal Hinging.

Another way of looking at Pure Swinging is that it is non "manipulated". That is to say that the Hands do not manipulate the face in any way manner Hinge Action or otherwise. Your hands can not manipulate the face if the shaft is a piece of string. In his demonstration the string was the shaft! It ran from the head to Homers hands in the photo Lynn took. Indeed as Lynn pointed out the clubhead's sweetspot aligned to Homer's #3 Pressure Point given the string/shaft but thats another story.......

(as a further aside, it is possible to swing with just your left arm attached to the club and not be Pure Swinging. You can manipulate a hinge action with just your left hand on the club after all. In fact its easier to do with just your left hand on the club I find, way easier)
