The so-called tray position, requires a turn of the hands - a start up swivel, a turn of the hands as the left cocks and the right bends or folds back to the top. This is called Standard wrist action (10-18-A) and is used by “Swingers” who use Horizontal Hinging. Standard is a Turn and Cock of the left wrist to the top. Hitters uses a Single wrist action (10-18-C) where the left wrist is cocked but NOT turned. This lack of hand motion keeps the clubhead alignments on plane with an angled hinge action.
