"Arc Putting" is set up geometrically. If the area of movement is horizontal to the ground or directly over the ball the movement will be straight back and through. If the area of rotation is angled to the ground or inside the ball the movement will be in an arc. If the area of rotation is vertical to the ground the "swinging gate" or a circle will make its way to stroke.

So stroke path is not guided by visuals.
