Ultimately you can get to the point where the only thing in your mind is the visual of the ball's flight (or roll).
Nothing else is needed.
It obviously takes some work to get to that point, but especially for the better players, the more you can 'see' what you want, the easier the game becomes.
If you need to visualize part of your motion, make it the hands. Always know where your hands are!
