I looked into this when I had my Scotty Cameron Studio Design 1 cut down from 35" to 32 1/2" . You add 12 gms of weight for every inch you cut off. I put lead tape on the back of the putter and lead powder down the shaft. I am getting someone to drill holes in the putter heel and toe and fill the holes in with molten lead and then refinish the putter. In your case where you are cutting off 2" that is 24 gms to add.
