Hey Bear

Yup you've got to have a strong sense of going all the way to fully uncocked, especially if you are using a Left Wrist Throw (where this hammering action is a voluntary, non automatic thing). It adds a ton of zip to the ball. Its one of the few forces if properly directed, you can thrust as hard as you want and still have the ball like it, love it in fact. But the #3 Angle will not be, cant be zeroed when doing so.

#3 Angle is established at Fix with the Left Wrist in its Level condition. For low powered Basic Motion you zero out the #3 by gripping the club along the life line of the Left Palm. This deadens the send associated with any rolling through the shot. Very common in putting , less so in chipping.

In longer shots where you want some #3 Roll Power you grip the club again at Fix and again with your left wrist level (this is an example of the Sameness Homer desired for all procedures) but this time with the handle running under the heal pad of the left palm. This Angle now formed between the level left wrist and the shaft when view DTL, is your #3 Angle. And no amount of uncocking in the left wrist , the #2 Angle (which goes from Level at Fix to Fully Cocked to Level at Impact and then to Fully Uncocked) will be able to zero out the pre established #3 Angle............in short, its a grip deal, not a left hand uncocking deal.

REad up on the Left Wrist Throw if you're a Swinger for some more detail about the necessary Alignments and then watch this masterpiece.
