Pitfalls...
I have had less time to practice ( darn work keeps getting in the way ) lately, and when I have, the results have been less than stellar. My misses from the 8-9 ft. range have increased to about 30%, I would guess. Lots of frustration, because, as we all know, it is difficult to correct yourself when you have the worst seat in the house. Anyway, today I putted for awhile, and realised that I had slipped back into a 'half arm, half shoulder stroke'. As soon as I eliminated the 'arm' and 'went overboard' on the shoulder motion, the ball started going in, dead center, time after time. Diligence is key. Also, I have found it MUCH easier to putt well using a belly putter versus a conventional length. I think it is much easier to align the right forearm using a longer putter.
