Want advice for a hitting, swinging, swatter
Hey guys, long time reader first time poster. My teachers Rob Noel and Chris Wertz turned me onto this place.

Anyways, on to the point of the topic.......

I'm really trying to decide what I want to do here between hitting and swinging. I started out as a swinger and first started playing and seeing Rob in May. I was then turned onto hitting sometime around October and I have been switching back and forth between the two ever since.

I feel that I'm more geared to be a hitter due to the fact that I'm 6'5 300 and more of the weight lifter type of body style rather than a flexible guy.

However, certain shots just don't seem to agree with me with hitting. Short game shots around the green really have me suffering as a hitter and I just can't seem to get distance and trajectory control at all. These closer shots just seem to come natural as a swinger and I feel completely relaxed and smooth with great results.

Iron's I am far more consistent with as a swinger rather than a hitter so I have no problem there.

Woods I am more consistent as a hitter with no horrible shots but my best shots aren't quite as good though they are close.

The one thing I do not want to do is mix up some swinging shots and some hitting shots because the techniques are so different that I would rather stick with one 100% rather than switch back and forth and start swatting.

Overall I feel like I can make better situational shots as a swinger and I have more in my arsenal as a swinger. However, my bad days as a swinger are really bad with me spraying the ball everywhere. My best days as a hitter are good but not quite as good as my best swinging days, but my worst hitting days are far better than my worst swinging days.

So I guess my question is do I stick with what is giving me results despite the fact that I'm not as comfortable with it and suffer with my chipping until it improves or I figure out something else or do I go with what is comfortable despite the fact that the results often aren't as good and my body type leads me to go the other direction?

Any advice both short and long term would be appreciated.
