Could you point me towards some discussion on the the sweetspot plane angle......this sounds exactly what I'm looking for....

If you stand at address with a properly grounded iron you will see the shaft plane line.

Now simply place a dowel above the clubshaft but with its lower tip directly in front of the clubface sweet spot.

Keep the two "shafts" parallel and there are the different plane lines for you to see.
