I've always regarded the putting stroke as a simple roll the ball underhand into the hole procedure.

If I were to do this "sans" putter, I would do it with my right hand, as a forehand motion.

Cross handed grips (left hand low) seems to me to involve a left hand backhand motion and is, thus, unnatural.

Now you guys can indulge in your unnatural practises but leave me out of them.
