The shorter the club the less you have too. For instance look at YodasLuke PW...notice how closed the club is going back? That's because you aren't letting it rotate open so there is no need to "close" it on the downswing. So when it hits the ball the face is slightly closed but with angled hinging it lays back to "open" it a little and thus a straight shot.
