Bigwill is right as usual. The body works upon a system of equal and opposite reactions (agonist - antagonist) to keep the spine neutral which eliminates the risk of injury to the spine. Repetative motions in one direction really challenge this natural anatomical law. By training bilaterally with regard to the whold body system you maximize your ability to perform in specific performance modes that are often called sports, which are all pretty one sided, ofcourse exceptions do exist. Additionally, by training the whole body you raise your overall ability to increase strength and endurance. Certainly there is a place for 'golf specific' training but it should not be at the expence of a more balanced physical program. Vickie
