With ARC PUTTING, which is actually putting on an INCLINED PLANE... there should not be STEERING. The CLUBFACE is SQUARE(to the ball) only at IMPACT. With PUTTING UP AND DOWN THE LINE... which is like PUTTING ALONG A BASEBOARD... there is, and should be, STEERING. Here the clubface is Square or Nearly Square(to the ball) throughout the Stroke.
