I shot a 76 which is pretty good for me on this track. However, I left strokes on the course like Gretel left bread crumbs hoping to find a way home. I shot a 39 on the front with 3 birdies (don't ask ). I hit a portable toilet on the par 3 sixth hole. Enuff said. The back nine starts with a longish par 5 of 541 yards. It is especially long because it has about a 60 degree dog leg around a stand of tall trees. I hit a good drive hooked into the far left side of the fairway, but past the trees. I punted a 3H down the middle from there to 125. Ball is above my feet so I have to choke down about a little over an inch. I hit 8I. Ball starts out right at the flag. I do my best Hal Sutton imitation; "Be the right club, today!". Ball lands about 10 - 15 feet short, bounces to about 6 feet, checks, small bounce to a foot or so, and rolls in. Eagle!!!! That is the longest hole I have ever eagled and the second eagle from the fairway in the last 4 months (since the SoCal school). So, my holes per eagle from the fairway ratio is running about 120. I like TGM. __________________ _________________________________ Steph Distance is Magic; Precision is Practice.
