Saying that, the different lies will create different ball flights: UpHill: Higher flight, potential less distance Downhill: Lower flight, potential more distance (especially roll) Feet Below Ball: Potential for Big Draw/Hook Feet Above Ball: Potential for Big Fade/Slice As you said, most practice ranges do not have these types of scenarios set up....one thing we can do is to adjust our machine to the shot at hand. We have to assume that the ball flight may be affected by the stance/lie, so we adjust our machine accordingly based on our swing patter to 'balance out' the effects of said stance/lie.
