hi, my experience with spin-milled vokeys (though i haven't had new ones for a few years) is that they are really good for spin & bite when new but tough on the ball (especially if you hit full shots with them) & also that it doesn't last past the first month or so of use.
Perfect if you can replace them regularly & have a free supply of new golf balls, otherwise perhaps not much different to other wedges.

I bought three Vokeys by start of this season, 52, 56 and 60. With the new grooves that doesn't spin as much as the old ones. I haven't noticed a big change in the spin but I suspect that they are a little longer than the Clevelands. And they certainly go lower. I am not too thrilled about them around the greens as I play a course that needs some air time in the art of scrambling. I eventually kept my old 60* MDC (Cleveland copy) in the bag as it is a much better flop club.
The distance control on 3/4 and full wedge shots is IMO very good with the Vokeys.

Why did you want to have the new grooves? You could use the old one as much as you want - or have you turned professional?
just a reminder guys, a lot of the OEMs will be producing all their clubs with V grooves from the start of next year so before christmas is the time to buy some wedges even if you won't be putting them in play for a while.
My own 54 vokey seems to be spinning more than ever now and it is a couple of seasons old. I try to only use it in competitive rounds to keep the grooves as fresh as I can but it has definitely been spinning more this season. I have a lovely wear pattern on it too

I think this idea is interesting. I've never hit these and have no idea how they perform, but given that wedges wear out quicker than other clubs, the idea that one could get the club setup and sole grind just right and swap out just the grooves over time is quite appealing.
I've not hit thme myself so this story is anecdotal but a friend working in golf retail here in the UK told me they were invariably brought back by whoever bought them as the feel was awful
