First of all thanks to Yoda and all the contributors on this site. I've started hitting about 3 weeks ago and it's like a revelation. Golf now feels simple and natural. And I'm playing most of my shots from the fairway ! Shot 89 last Saturday on a tough par 72 course, for me that's one of my best rounds ever. I am so grateful...
I'm religiously watching the Alignment Golf video, doing the drills and reading the threads here. There's still a couple of grey areas and I was hopping one of you could help me clarify them.
- I start from impact fix. Does that also imply that my weight distribution at adress should favour my left side, as it should be at impact ?
- Is there a weight shift to the right foot on the backswing and back to the left on the downswing or does the weight stay on the left ?
- Is it OK for the right leg to straighten during the backswing (no reverse pivot, but just leg straightening, a la S&T)
At set up im 50/50, w/ wedges 70/30 front foot bias. Weight shifts in response to the hands led pivot.
Rt leg straightening shouldnt be an issue as long as you are not turning to far on BS. Just set up w/ your rt forearm on plane (unlike S&T) keep your head rock steady and trace the straight plane line. I have P's vid and the flying wedge stuff is all good info, use angle as well which they use, but dont really mention by name in the S&T video....
