Hey fellas-------any thoughts that your sticking this right in the middle of alot of college and High school graduation type datelines?
Excellent Idea, I'm sure it will fill up quickly just the same,
how about planning another one?
Yes, Sbark, we knew it was a tough date, but we really had no other choice. We wanted to fit this in between the end of school, the beginning of the junior tournament season, Easter and Mother's Day.
Maybe we'll be able to do better next time around, but like Saturday Night Live'sGilda Radner's great character Rosanna Rosanna Donna used to say...
We had a very successful school. Again Lynn performed his magic. A great group of 13 kids ages ranging from 13 to 21. We began the day at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning with a short Yoda lecture on the concepts we would be working on for the two days. The kids were actually on the edges of their seats. They were all like sponges eager to learn. And learn they did. By the end of the two days divots were flying and the ground was shaking. They were all swinging all the way down plane to Low Point. In the short game area they were holing out chips with basic motion and making putts from everywhere.
One thing I wanted to accomplish in this school was to help these kids make their high school teams and educate them on what it would take to play in college. I would like to thank Chris McCarter, golf coach for the University of New Orleans, who gave the kids a wonderful talk on what it takes to play at the college level. I know the kids really appreciated it.
I would also like to thank my associate Chris Wertz who really worked hard to allow these kids to learn and have a great time in this school.
Lynn, thank you for your relentless passion for the game and sharing that passion with everyone you meet. I know you made a lasting impression on these kids. I look forward to doing this again with you real soon.
