I have one and believe it is a good product. I got it last year, but due to some back issues(from beforehand), I was reluctant to go full bore. Since working with it over winter as well as having 4 months free of back pain, have been able to get my swing speed up to 120mph, from about 108 this time last year.
My trainer has acquired 4 of these, and 4 torso burners, for his PT, and for his clients. He is a BIG believer!!! His reasoning apart from a 10 mph increase in one of the clients' swing speeds(104 - 114), is that it is 'the best thing out there' for efficient motor learning. That is, training to increase your swing speed is best done at similiar speeds you expect to swing the golf club at.
I also contend that it is a decent means to eliminating an over the top move in the golf swing as the chain will 'catch' if you make that move. So, if that's what you want...not good for Slammin Sam or K.J ...
Now, about that clubface...
12mph is BIG INCREASE in speed. I wouldn't say that is the average. Unless you are simply outta shape and your speed just goes down that much. For instance you had back pain which probably seriously hindered your speed.

Huge! The back pain was definitely a hindrance. I was up around 115mph beforehand, and with help from this site and Brian's and Brian, could account for some of the rest. I am getting older though!
I do stand by my endorsement, although I better shut shut up soon, lest y'all think I'm a spokesperson or something
