Well, as I was heading to Alabama for a weekend of industrial strength golf prior to my Tuesday trip to the Masters I decided to get my golf year off on the right foot---arranged for 90 minutes with Mr. Ted Fort. Hadn't been to The Swamp since 9/05 and was sure I was back into some bad habits. After hitting a few shots to knock off the winter rust Ted realized I was setting up at impact (hitter) but was actually adding some right wrist bend on my takeaway---corrected that pretty quickly but still struggled with some overacceleration (ok, a lot of overacceleration at times ) and occasional flipping with my left wrist. Again tried to feel "slow, deliberate, heavy" but told him I felt like Nick price on speed at times. Ted's reply--"yep, kinda' like a hummingbird on crack." 90 minutes went pretty quick. I hit some balls that afternoon upon reaching Auburn, AL but got rained out all day Saturday. Woke up Sunday am and hit the Lake Course at Grand National ----no warm-up-----and shot 77. I think I'm off on the right course for '08. Thanks again, Ted, for another great lesson. Folks----This Guy Is Good. Do yourself a favor and head for The Swamp. Magic happens there. Dave Garretson
