WARNING: HK is not claiming that you should use a "Pendulum" Stroke. "as continuously as possible." The 90 degree "Wedge" alignment is lost at Full Extension so while swinging back to the end of your backstroke, they need to be re-established before the stroke reaches its end. That's why he says "as continuously as possible." Not continuous like a Pendulum, but continuous like a G.O.L.F. Swing. Purpose In a normal Golf Stroke, the Wedges are set at 90 degrees at Impact Fix, then relaxed during "Standard Address". Then, the Swing re-captures this 90 degree setting at the end of "Start-up" if one uses the "Right Forearm Take-away". In the Motion Curriculum's, especially "Basic Motion", you must conscientiously re-establish this Alignment again before the Downstroke begins and then during each "Continuous Motion". Doing so, will force you to convert "Mechanics - into - Feel". Then you can use this "Feel" while playing Golf. This is not a simple exercise. You cannot learn this on your own. You need an instructor to show you the 90 degree Wedge Alignment and how simple Extensor Action can re-establish them from Standard Address during the Take-Away. The Right Forearm is ALWAYS DRIVING. Once this is learned, then you can Practice and experience continuous Improvement. |
