How to find out and compare Shafts from different brands?

Nowadays, almost every brand has more than a few shafts for the same driver head. Is there any place I can reference to compare the shafts.

I mean, I want to get a driver, but just don't know what to get as a shaft. I know the technicals but there's so many brands, how to choose? If you know of any websites that talk about shafts, please share. Thanks.

Golfsmith's clubmaker area probably has the best shaft comparison resource.

Go get fitted properly by a club-fitting pro who will make your life a lot easier in the decision process. Find a TGM pro/fitter and you are double ahead.

What's a TGM Pro?

My advice is to get on the phone and talk with one or two of the club makers that have internet shops. Some of them have a pretty broad and deep knowledge with regards to various shafts and heads.

I found this site

has a lot of data about shafts at the risk of being overwelmed by information.

Thanks for sharing Etzwane.

I didn't read it all but the table in attachment 5(?) seemed to bring the puzzle together pretty well.
