Drew Brees and PP#3

I recall watching Oprah after last year's super bowl and Drew Brees was showing Oprah how to throw a football. He emphasized how his right index finger was pointed to the target after he let go of the football. After learning about TGM this lead me to theorize that he too was using PP#3 to throw the football with.......what an epiphany!

Thanks for sharing this. I love how the attention to and application of various pressure points and alignments can be applied to other sports. So much better than trying to figure things out through some nebulous feel-based concepts.

pp3 and baseball

I once heard orel hershiser the famous pitcher comment on TV about the unique propioceptive abilities of the first two fingers. He went on to elaborate on this. His comments were great and I immediately thought of pp 3 and golf. I wonder if pitchers have their eye on the catcher's mitt and their mind in their hands

Other #3 PP use.

I am a former EPEE fencer. For those not familiar, the epee is a thrusting weapon for competitive use and the equivalent of the dueling rapier. I always used the standard “French” grip which employs the right index finger and thumb. First joint “behind”, second joint below, tip joint in front and thumb on top with the grip end, Pommel, in the lifeline of the hand. With time and practice the blade becomes a 35” extension of your index finger with ALL input/output (feel and direction) becoming as automatic and precise as human touch and reaction can be. That is a #3 pp!
