I'm not saying this makes anyone a Hitter or Right Arm Swinger or anything but it is interesting. Guess that Random Sweep Release wasnt just a product of his fast hand speed.

TW is a swinger. He uses a side arm throw. He doesn't "shot put" the arm like a Hitter. He drives the Right Forearm into Impact and feels it in his hands.

First video I saw was Tom providing an explanation of the famous Claude Harmon right arm only sand shot. Fantastic. Random Sweep Release Bat. Sorry, had to say that, the devil made me do it.

Shot putting? What the heck are you talking about? Only a new found Hitter attempts that for full shots..... Hitting is a side arm throw. Push Basic is for short shots only .......and only if you want to push basic, which I dont. Hitting, Total Motion is not Push Basic. Emphatically.

Hitting, the Right Hand moves down a Straight Line Path to the Ball and the Elbow Location Loaded Directly behind the Primary Lever supports that motion. This Elbow Action insures that Right Arm Thrust will Uncock the Left Wrist. Downward Angle of Attack. This is the same Elbow Action of a "Shot Putt-er" with a different Wrist rotation. It's a Punch Motion.

Swingers, Side Arm Throw, like Ben Hogan aptly demonstrates. This Elbow Action is very compatible with CF and the Throwout of the Secondary Lever. It's a Pitch Motion. You can Drive the Right Forearm with the Power Package without it causing the Left Wrist to Uncock. This occurs in the Downstroke Acceleration Sequence.

Both Actions have some of both Motions. The Swinger has mostly Fanning but still with a little of the Punch. Hitters have mostly Punch, but with a little Fanning.

Hitting total motion is nothing like a shot put. Nothing like Push Basic.

P.S. Can a right arm only Bat Basic Stroke from the sand , Random Sweep Release be Rope Handle? I suppose so but it could be Axe Handle too. Either way its not a left arm Swing.

Shot putting is inline like Push Basic and you know it. No one throws..........fans and bends a shot put. It'd rip your right elbow apart. Homer said Push Basic, bending only was for short shots.

12-1 recommends Punch Elbow.......meaning there's fanning and bending. Fanning and Bending is a side armed throwing motion. Hitting its an Active motion Swinging it isnt, it just happens, either way Homer wanted it to happen. Hitting its 10-20-B, the aptly named, Right Arm "Throw".


Punch Elbow can approach Pitch anyways. There's a range. True Pitch elbow is really something, especially with Snap Release........dont know if Ive ever been there. Dont think that many people have. That's one wide open clubface with your hands over top the ball and your elbow in front of your body. Thats a Kodak moment for sure. Which brings us back to Tom and Jack and I dunno about Freddy. Did they get to Pitch Elbow? The first two werent Snap thats for sure.
