Welcome X-Man.

You are going to LOVE the Alignment Gold DVDs. I watch it constantly.

While you are waiting, start reading the archives of this forum. More great information than you can imagine. EVERY part of Homer Kelley's wonderful work is explained in detail.

Down the road as you learn what you want to accomplish:

Alignment Sticks
PureBall Striker
Smart Stick
Taly
Impact Bag

Don't rush out and get everything, be patient and you will find out what you need / want as you go.

Kevin

Playing off 9 after 11 months is a great start to your golfing life xman.

This is a great site full of knowledgeable people.

As Kev said, if you haven't picked up the Alignment Golf DVD it should be your #1 christmas present!

Good to see a fellowman from the emerald isle here.

Whereabouts are you?

GP,
i'm just outside Dundalk and play out of 1 of the best courses around which is greenore.a fantastic course(semi links) and outstanding scenery overlooking the lough and mountains.

i'm awaiting the alignment dvd as i ordered it yesterday but i'd love to spend a few days with lynn.also i'm thinking about doing the GSEB course for my own benefit.

where abouts are you and would you have any additional advice for me

I'm no too far from you xman, I'm in Banbridge. I play at Balmoral though and am intending to move back towards Belfast over the next 6 months or so.

As you say, Greenore is a fabulous course. I love the 6th, the little par 3 over the pond.

Additional advice would be to listen to the green one, he 'knows'!

Also, unless you are planning to turn pro, you should do a GSEA which allows you to retain amateur status.

This is the right place to be if you want to dissect the yellow book, but knowing the book and playing great golf is only for a select few. Better to learn at the hands of a master like Yoda and leave the dissecting of yellows books to your dotage many years from now!
