Question on Driver Swing

I've been working on "educating my hands" and it's giving me a lot more consistency as well as understanding of what's happening during my swing swing.

One of my biggest golf problems is with the driver. I've got a 105-110mph swing that is for the most part out of control. The educated hands are helping bring a lot more control and an understanding of why there is little control. The other day I hit some drives on the range and they were pretty dang straight. One thing I noticed on a couple of them was a feeling that I don't remember ever feeling before.

At impact or shortly after there was whipping/popping/flinging (not sure the right word) sensation. It felt like it was coming up the shaft. The drives themselves were good drives. I don't remember ever feeling this before and I'm wondering what it is. If I had to guess maybe it's the forward bend of the shaft straightening up and the clubhead releasing? Is this normal and if so should I feel this everytime?
