Swinging VS. Mash

Has anyone had this problem... when I perform a true swinging motion as with rope swinging, my geomitry looks great! Everything on plane and swiveling - left wrist flat, right bent - ball flies with 2 yard draw over and over. Actually hit balls w/ piece of rope knotted on end. BUT - something is missing... I lose about 10 yards of distance with irons & ball is high & pretty but doesn't feel compressed.
When I arch left wrist through the ball, while keeping right arm bent - the ball flight comes way down & flys really hard & mashed. Shaft lean & lag increase. Problem is tendency to hook. The clubface also looks angled. Scared that I'm a swinger hanging on?
Any comments greatly appreciated.

Zach & Leahman can't be horizontal hinging, can they? Most of the LPGA looks shut at the top too - what is their procedure?

Would also be happy to post short video if someone can tell me how to get a link up.

Thanks
