Shell Houston Open / PGA TOUR / April 3-6, 2008
 

This week's Shell Houston Open is being contested at the Redstone GC Tournament Course in Humble, Texas. Two LBG players are competing: John Riegger and Jay Williamson.

Jay shot an opening 75 and withdrew.

John opened with 71-70 (-3) and comfortably made the even par cut. He added a 69 today and is -6 for the tournament (T17). While chances of winning this time 'round are slim -- he's nine back of the leader -- a solid round tomorrow will mean a large payday.

And a brilliant round will mean a very large payday.

Masters Warm-up
 

The Masters bunch is in Houston to warm up for next week. I've heard the course is set up to mimic the conditions there.

John is well ahead of several players that will be at Augusta.

The Masters is waiting for you too John.

Back In Contention
 

Tough Sunday for John but still a solid tournament. He was in the hunt for a Top 10 finish until he closed with 76 (+4). At T39, he earned $21,280.

Hey, it took a T5 or better to make more money on the Nationwide this week. Nice to be back on the PGA TOUR!
