Smart Stick Laser Guided Trainer

www.smartstickgolf.com

I think this is awesome, John Riegger and Brian Gay are using this.

Keeps your left wrist in a perfect alignment, I just throw some dowels on the ground and trace away.

Bright Lasers

I haven't used other lasers pen before, but I know these can be seen in outside even with the sun right on top of me.

I thought that was pretty nice.

Just thought some guys might like it.

Nathan,

I agree that the bright green lasers are really good, especially outdoors. This is a really cool looking training aid and I was ready to order until I saw the price.

I did not mean to offend, just trying to be funny.

We have all created our own "home depot" training aids that are much less expensive. Some are just as good as the originals and some are not. I imagine it would be hard to duplicate what they have invented since the green lasers are hard to find and fairly expensive.

How did using it convert to your ball striking?

Arching

Well I have always just used dowel rods for tracing,

It really has shown me that what I thought was correct wasn't, in the beginning my laser was pointing to far beyond the plane line, this was also happening during down stroke.

I was roundhousing into the ball and arching my left wrist, the wrist bar was really pushing up against my left forearm too hard.

For me personally I have been able to feel the correct left arm flying wedge and stop from arching my left wrist which is a big deal for me.

Lynn,

Have you taugth Brian or John recently???
Did they have the smart stick with them?

Amazing how many trianing aids are TGM Inspired whether they know it or not, but it appears this one has some TGM background!

Talked to John on the phone last night (before your post came in). He mentioned in passing that he likes the product and uses it "every now and then" to verify his alignments.

Brian learned of it through John, and we talked about it over the phone one evening last month (before he had the product). While on the phone, at my suggestion, he rigged up a makeshift version using a club and coathanger. I have talked with him a couple of times since then, but the SmartStick was never mentioned.

Lynn,

Thanks for the update.

Sounds like a good product but as stated earlier in this thread....definetly something that's been "homemade" before.

Look forward to hearing more success stories from you, Brian, and John. Next year.
