Static vs. Dynamic Fitting

Have any of the clubfitters used Static Fitting (Impact Fix alignments) instead of Dynamic Fitting?

Impact Fix Fits....Great for Beginners!!!

Yes, I have uses static...impact fix alignments to fit beginner golfers!! Jeff Hull taught me how to do this and it's a valuable tool to have in you toolbox. Give them a club that's fit to the impact you want them to achieve (flying wedges assembled) and then get them there!!!

I've have done the same thing as Jeff explained. I think its much place better to start off.

Though, I now know there is also different Impact fix. going down on Elbow plane or turned shoulder plane? that would vary too.

Another Triad?

I have always felt there were three way to club fit:

1. To correct ball flight (clubs are adjusted, no change in motion).

2. To fit the clubs to the individuals current motion (clubs are adjusted, no change in motion). This is most commonly used today, IMO.

3. To provide for optimum Impact Alignments (player and/or clubs may need adjustment).
