The Right Forearm Angle of Approach
How do you use the Right Forearm Angle of Approach? I know we got that deal where we place a dowel down the length of the right forearm and it points WAY downplane. Then the drill is to take the forearm back to this position. BUT . . . is the intent to continue to drive the right forearm down this extension?

Unless I misunderstand the question. NO, sustain that Angle by tracing the Plane Line even after Impact which is where you brought them back to in the drill. Now it is time for more through and then up. |
Secret Secrets
Right Forearm Angle of Approach, its a beautiful thing.

Wouldn't this be the case?
You place your whole right forearm on the inclined table (on an inclined plane - just like placing your right forearm on the horizontal plane of the desk or table in front to you - just like massive wayback Yoda post on the right forearm). The forearm then moves up or down this plane to the extent the elbow bends or unbends. Going down the plane, the right arm will eventually become straight, then you start back up the inclined plane. Establish desired elbow bend at impact fix (during which the fixed pivot center (head) is established). Pivot responds properly due to motion of right forearm and due the fact that the center is established. |
