Post Attachments

We've turned on the ability for members with over 100 posts to attach content to their posts. The content can be in the form of pictures and documents. However there are limits to the amount of attachments you can use.

For LBG members with over 100 posts, we've allocated 10MB per member for attachment storage. To make this last you probably want to limit the size of your attachments to keep from exceeding the max limit.

For LBG members with over 750 posts, the total allocation increases to 30MB.

There are also limits to the individual file attachments themselves and I'll post a summary of each file type with size limits for each. For instance, .bmp files have a limit of 200K but most file types can be very large. We may adjust these limits, just keep in mind that each attachment adds to your total quota of 10MB or 30MB depending on the number of posts you've contributed to the site.

A good rule of thumb is to adjust files sizes to a minimum before attaching them to your posts.

How do I attach a document or picture to a post?
When making a post, you will notice a box below the text entry area called "Additional Options". Within that box there is an option to Attach Files. Click on the "Manage Attachments" button and a new screen will open with options for uploading attachments to your post. Once your file has been uploaded, it will display when you save your post.

Thanks and Happy Posting!

Yes sir, easier to fix a Bent Left Wrist then to try and understand all this computer stuff. Unfortunately, my long ago prediction for the "computer fad" going the way of the "pet rock" has still not come to fruition :confused1 .
