Ted may not have seen this particular shot -- he was otherwise engaged on the lesson tee at the time -- but he saw literally hundreds of the 'real thing' when Brian Gay worked with us both in Atlanta on Monday.

This was a great "up and down" round for Brian. He was -2 after 6 -- well within the cut line -- and then goes bogey, double bogey, bogey. A short week was suddenly a very real possibllity, and most players would have quit right there.

Brian?

No way.

Instead, he then sucks it up and goes par...

Eagle.

This tells us so much about the man himself and all we need to know about the heart of a seasoned PGA TOUR professional.

He's there for the weekend, where two great rounds can turn two mediocre rounds into...

"MONEY!"

:)

Go Brian!

Having your trust and Brian's trust means more to me than I'm capable of expressing. It was a privilege to work with him. His talent is more than impressive.

Can't help it.

Think I'll drive down to Houston tomorrow and say Hi to Brian and Kipper. Would love to see him put some negative numbers on the board in preparation for Sunday.

I loved his reaction even more than his shot! His reaction said, I'm a very good iron player, that's going to happen from time to time. Most tour players, Jeff Quinney and Rich Beem are recent examples, suggest to me they don't stand over a shot thinking they are going to hole it and maybe they don't even think they'll knock it stiff, who knows.
