TGM Instructor List

I was just on the TGM site looking at the list of Authorized Instructors. A lot of names have been removed. Anyone know the significance (if any) of this?

Most likely the are going through and updating the list. If you don't pay them $175.00, they drop your name off if.

The Authorized Instructor designation is subject annually to the instructor's submission of an AI Agreement and The Golfing Machine, LLC's acceptance of same. Also, an annual fee of $150 plus an additional $25 late fee, if applicable. Those requirements were due on November 15th.

Instructors who elected not to renew are no longer recognized as Authorized Instructors by TGM, LLC, and have been removed from 'The List.' Or at least most of them have. Some who have not paid -- and who will not pay -- have apparently received a special dispensation.

Personally, for reasons that were carefully considered and that pertain only to me, I concluded that I can better serve the vision of Homer Kelley from outside the organization than from within.

That could change, of course, but that's how it is for now.

I have a hard time seeing how this push to basically remove AIs is going to help grow the network. I heard about what was going on a few days ago and to be honest, unless I don't have all the facts, it seems counterproductive. The home office has spent the last few years wanting to grow the AI network before embarking on the production of instructional material. Fair enough.

But now, with one fell swoop, half the AIs are pulled from the website. Including mine in Milwaukee. Vanished. So the last few years have been spent cutting the AI network in half? Names I do recognize on there seem new, like they've only been authorized recently and exactly per the home office requirements. I know that my AI was authorized before the new ownership, so I don't see the fairness in arbitrarily striking those who weren't authorized under the new format. Some of the biggest names in the AI network are now not officially recognized.

Whatever happens, I am reminded that regardless of title or designation, the knowledge always remains.
