New to the board - any drills for preparation

New to the board as well as TGM. Looks like I might have to make a stop at the book store this weekend to pick up a copy. Have to honestly say that a lot of the information i have seen seems to be overwhelming, compounded with the fact of 20 odd years of a certain type of swing. Any thoughts on a good place to begin or some drills that will better prepare me for the journey. A few summers back led me to the realization that what was truly lacking from my game was the sizzle on iron shots, and I deduced that lag was the key, but had absolutely no clue on how to go about generating it. Hopefully this may hold the answer for me. Thanks again.

Starting Drills

Numbers,

Welcome aboard!

Begin by browsing our Drills section and keep checking back. There are a bunch of great TGM drills that haven't been put up yet.

I can think of a few off the top, but I'll save it for your questions in the Drills room!

You are right about Lag, it is the key and the "secret" of good golf. Preparing it, aiming it, thrusting it, and sustaining it is what it is all about.
The best way to start is right here. Read and absorb. Ask questions. Read the book, and apply what you are learning.

It doesn't take long to take ownership of your swing!
