Looking for a cool TGM saying to stamp on my putter

I need something short and sweet to stamp on the bottom of my putter that is related to TGM. I notice some of you have cool signatures but I need something in 3 words or less.

One of the most common is "Sustain the Line of Compression" or Sustain the Lag.

Good idea on the putter stamp - A constant reminder.

How about 1-L - THE MACHINE

garagefan66 03-28-2009 04:30 PM

Both great suggestions! Thanks guys.

I like the idea of what you are doing.

I think the nest man to answer though is Yoda.

On another site, my favourite tag line is "Lag Pressure throwaway is the root of all golf’s evils"

Thom 03-28-2009 07:10 PM

how about

"Lag it in"

Soren Hansen, the danish Ryder Cup player, couldn't figure out what Scotty Cameron should stamp on the face of his putter. He ended up with G. I. T. F. H..........get it??

Wish I had more than 3 words

These are all great but I need to keep it to 3 words or less. Leaning toward "Sustain The Lag". I'm sure the guys I play with will not understand the meaning of "Lag", they'll probably think I'm trying to 2-putt. :laughing9

It's not TGM, but "be the ball, Danny" is always my favorite. :happy3:

not TGM, but since most don't even come close to the right amount

- "play more break"

garagefan66 03-30-2009 10:23 AM

Magic Right Forearm just went to the top of the list. Thanks purehitter.

Every stroke has an Address, Top and Finish

Im with Bagger on Lag Pressure, whatever the expression may be.

The other thought that serves me well is: "Address, Top, Finish". Hand stamped with dancing letters like a Cameron would be nice.

The Three Stations. The implication being that there is no provision of any kind for Impact and therefor no Throwaway or Hacking at the ball.

Tiger takes three quick continuous practice strokes beside the ball feeling/seeing/memorizing the Top, Finish as well as the associated Lag Pressure. Moves over to the ball, takes a mental "picture" of the hole and then "puts to the picture" with no provision for impact. Just Address, Top, Finish............applause, hug Stevie etc.

Its a great method that is almost like cheating when it comes to distance control, Pressure point #3 awareness monitoring the required Lag Pressure.

My personal method is a little Extensor Action and a Right Shoulder that does most of the work. Makes for a solid strike and puts the Brain in the Hands and Pressure Points.

Hope I didnt just jinx myself. Oh Oh.

one of my old members said...

An older member from my first country club found that he was tired of giving the ball specific directions like "get down!", "bite!", "get up!", or "get your run out!".

So, no matter the shot, he always said:

"Do right ball!"

4-1-2-3 on a putter? Have you been playing those double greens at St. Andrews? Would that be a Four Barrel Swing ?
