Hi everyone,
I'm seeking help in two ways. The first, I need help educating my hands so that I can help myself to playing better golf. The second, I believe that I can do so if I had my own copy of Lynn Blakes' Alignment Golf DVDs. Now, there seems to be only one problem standing in my way to educating my hands to better golf and that is I cannot get Lynn Blakes' Pro Shop to load the correct order page to Alignment Golf. If anyone is able to help me guide my uneducated hands around this small dilemma, I will greatly appreciate it--thanks.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have received my copy of Alignment Golf and its is educating my hands to better golf already. However, I have stumbled across another problem. After viewing and practicing the extensors action lessons and drills, I now cannot hit the ball fat for bunker shots. I've tried using my aiming point to direct my hands a few inches behind the ball but I still strike the ball crisp. I also tried the dollar-bill drill but that does not seem to help either. Don't get me wrong, I love the crisp clean ball contact but I need to be able to play out of green side bunkers too.

Alignment Golf

I received my copy of Alignment Golf in just a few days and popped in the first DVD and I must admit it is some of the best video on TGM ever done.

Lynn is a master at getting the point across and does not miss a beat. It is like a Johnny Cash song driving the beat down home. There is a bit of comedy as well. All I can say is watch it many times and you will have enough knowledge to work on a stroke pattern and understand TGM book as well.

Swinging and hitting are also explained in the DVD’s for many that are still trying to understand the differences. Alignment Golf is great and every golfer should have a copy along with the yellow book. Well Done!!!

Down Swing Waggle

I would also like to say that on the Alignment Golf DVD’s, the importance Lynn puts on the down swing waggle and the amount of up the club head moves in the back swing. These were very important points made of many that are missing in action with most weekend and amateur golfers. So watch it and learn and you will get to the next level

I have a "tip" for you on this one given to me by a helluva bunker player Tony Johnstone. He advised me not to grip down the shaft too much. Some times people grip down so much that there low point is actually above the sand or at least not deep enough...hence ball first contact!

smoke218 03-24-2009 01:54 PM

I'll give it a try Okie. One thing I like to add to this is, Mr. Blake and his team are right on the money when they advised to work on the Basic and Acquired Motions--there's really Magic in the Right Forearm.

Will these tapes help me?

Hi,

New to this forum but have read great feedback on these tapes on other forums.

My only concern is I am quite new to golf (only been playing for a year and on a 22 handicap) and was wondering if these are tailored for the more advanced golfer and the newbie would be left scratching their head over some of the TGM terminology?

One area that I do need to work on is getting better compression and cleaner/crisper contact so if there is a chapter on this that would be a start.

dcg1952 03-30-2009 09:16 AM

The Alignment Golf DVDs will absolutely help a 22 handicapper---it will get you on the proper course sooner and save you time from floundering around wondering what to do. Watch them all the way through and just get a flavor for what is in them. And then watch them a 2nd time and pay more attention. And then a 3rd time and perhaps take some notes. Go to the range and start with basic motion and when you have mastered that then move to acquired motion and just keep building your swing. Some of this might seem confusing at first but just keep watching and listening . The DVD with the drills is excellent. Makes going to the range fun. These DVDs are GOLD. That's why you even see comments from teaching professionals who are using them for their own games as well as teaching others. I wish these had been available in 1990 when I started playing golf---would have saved me a lot of time and frustration.

I have been trying to find the proper way to answer Just Starting. Now there is no need to. Wonderful job with your answer! 100% agreed.

JS,

You might also like to visit "The Gallery", free videos, and check out the Collin Neeman lesson with Lynn clips.

No matter what your level of proficiency you cannot help but gain from watching those videos.

Just placed my order. Can't wait. Been playing for over 20years with severe leakage, Never on a full shot have I felt true compression. I have hit about 250 basic motion shots this week and can't wait to move forward. I have been there and seen that as far as all the golf instructions out there. I am so hoping TGM brings me nirvana with effortless power and true 3D compression!!!
It's a re-learn for me of not throwing the clubhead at the ball, but throwing my wedges with my pivot through the ball!!
Now to try and erase all those years of getting by on timing and flipping which has lead to some good days but far more bad days.

We had originally planned a separate 'long game' DVD, but as the filming went on, we identified and discussed more and more long-game alignments. Ultimately, much of the information presented -- even on the Putting disc -- applies equally to the long game.

That said, there will be another DVD Series. I am proud of Alignment Golf, but it's been almost four years since that work was done. In the interim, I've spent thousands of hours on lesson tees around the world and on the PGA TOUR. That experience has made me a better teacher, and I want to share its fruits with you.

GPStyles 06-25-2009 10:09 AM

excellent news Yoda.

With the experiences learned from doing "AG", could we expect a quicker production next time round?

I wouldn't change much about "AG", however from the time it was first mentioned to actual availability was a long wait for us all!

Don't take that as meaning I'd like a rush job either though!!!

You'll probably want to get cracking on it now though, just in time for it being available afte BG wins the Masters next April!!

Depends on how you want to pay. If you want to use a credit card, you must go through the site and have it shipped. If you want to buy direct from me while I'm there -- quantitiies will be extremely limited, so all who want a copy should reserve it through a PM to me -- your payment must be in cash (80 USD or 49 GBP). No checks, please.

2009 you wrote "That said, there will be another DVD Series." I do hope that the project isn´t scrapped. And remember that the most important thing to learn is the ordinay full swing, So manny have problem with that and I hope you will pay some extra in deph attention to it.
