Would 1.5" be too much or should I not bother with it and continue chocking up? Perhaps I should practice the information on the DVD and then make a decision? Even working on the various methodologies from the DVD I still feel more comfortable chocking up.
DOntell,

Please keep in mind that when you shorten your putter, you are decreasing the swing weight by 3 points per 1/2 inch. Cutting the putter down 1 1/2 inches will reduce the swing weight by 9 points. A very big deal to some (like me) who like heavier feeling putters. It will take a TON of lead tape to get the putter back to where it started.

I would suggest choking down for awhile while you work on your motion along with Lynn, VJ, and the DVDs. After awhile, if you decide you want a shorter putter I would order one from a company that adjusts the swing weight to the length.
