Hi guys, I'm a new member here and new to tgm - I'd like to learn more about tgm - I have been offered a 1982 edition of the yellow book - would you advise sidestepping this edition and going for the latest edition (which is?). Do later editions than 1982 offer more?
The 1982 date really means nothing- I believe it is in every edition, but more importantly- check which edition its is. The most popular is the last one- the 6th. The current edition is the 7th. Either one is a good one. They go for about 20 bucks. The 3rd is the most rare and can cost around 500 bucks depending on condition. the other editions fall in line behind them. I think if you are learning, you need a book that will hold up to the hours of reading and studying. Go for the 7th but buy a 6th also later on. If the edition offered you is lower than 6- let us know what the price is. You may want to collect them- if not someone here might help you out.

thanks dk- i haven't bought a book (other then the 3rd) in a while. Never got the 7th.
I meant to say 'more or less' we all know how some people jack up the price thinking they have something rare.
Go for the 7th but buy a 6th also later on. If the edition offered you is lower than 6- let us know what the price is. You may want to collect them- if not someone here might help you out.
