Flexibility is (still) underrated
at least it was to me.

There was a time that I simply could not figure out how to hit the ball with a straight left arm.

Then one day I could and never understood why.

Not until I took a flexibility exam with a personal trainer.

Gosh.

My left ahoulder was A LOT more flexible than the right. Tried to hit a southpaw swing and there was no way I could keep my right arm straight.

So if you can't figure out how to keep the left arm straight it is simply because you are not flexible enough.

No problem. Just stretch it. Day in. Day out. On the subway. In the office. In the bathroom.

You'll get there.

And do both while you are at it.

Look at Tiger or Ernie or Vijay. One of the main reasons they can really whallop the ball is flexibility.

Get flexibility and you'll have a chance.

Have done stretching regulary. I am now at a point where my right shoulder is almost as flexible as my left shoulder. After just days of stretching at the office, in the subway etc. Increadible.

BTW. I do not have the time to read my previous post again. Did I mention that flexibility matters?

I did exactly this and they hauled me off in a paddy-wagon with a big dude named Lucille.

What amaze me is that guys like Ernie can put his left arm tightly across his chest. I cant do that! It´s abt 20 degrees off.
I´d like to ask/know what do I lose with my poor flexibility and what will I win if I can get my left arm tighter?

I can think of a couple of things. Maybee a full shoulderturn will not be so critical as it is today for me. Maybee I will get more time for the downmovement in the downswing.

Well, one of the more interesting side effects is Immortality. My right shoulder is now more or less as flexible as my left & I am still alive.

I don't know what stretching would do for you, but I am sure it would do a bunch of positive things.
