The SwingReader app for iPhone looks very practical.
Anyone useing it ???
I have not used it much so-far.
It has good help and support but a "user manual" either hard copy or downloadable would shorten the learning curve- If anyone has a manual please either post or PM link.
For the "do-it-yourselfer" a stable mount needs to be rigged- I havent got there yet.
I actually purchased 5 swing apps for my phone. Swing Reader is one of 2 that didn't make the cut. I use iSwing for recording my own swing, V1 for my library of swings I like to study, and Swing At 'Em for all my teaching. I know, I'm strange, but at least I will readily admit it...

Kev,
what was the 5th one you disliked?
and since you have tried them.
could you give the + and - with each of them?
thanks in advance.
My iphone will be delivered this week, thanks to your inputs on FB

It's a little pricey as far as apps go, but viewTi golf gps is a nice little app for the player. It does all the gps stuff, but it also has some nice features for keeping score and tracking and analyzing your statistics. It also has some swing recording capabilities but is a bit weak compared to these other products.

Hi Amen Corner,
Golf Swing Plane was the other not to make the cut. The 2 I don't use aren't bad, I just prefer the other 3...
I like iSwing because it has a timer for the camera. The only of my top 3 to have it. Necessary for filming your own swing. The downside is it only likes very short, <3 second swing clips.
I like to use V1 for my library as it has very good organizational features. Makes it easier to find video. I could use this as my only app if it had a timer feature.
I like to use Swing At Em for teaching as it is pretty fast. Faster than the others at labeling the videos so I don't spend as much of my students time with administration I also really like the frame by frame playback by dragging in the screen itself, I don't need to keep my fat fingers on any little controls. I could use this as my only app if it had a timer feature...
Swingreader was a little slow importing video for my taste, and I didn't care for the negative marketing being done by the SwingPlane folks...
Hope this helps my friend. If you have to have just one, I would recommend V1 or Swing At Em without reservation. If you mainly want to video your own swing, you almost have to have iSwing as well.

While I'm spending your money, GolfShot is unbelievably cool. I purchased several GPS programs as well, GolfShot was my favorite by far, and GolfLogix just released an exceptional upgrade, so I'll give that another shot as well. Both, IMHO, are heads and tails above the others as far as ease of use, and interface. I enjoy the GPS programs for keeping stats as well, so that factored into my ideas on interface...
I am a Mac - 4th Dimension database programmer as a hobby, and interface details are very important to me as far as influencing my likes/dislikes.
