Hitter set up question
Hi, hitter set up at impact fix, club face slightly close. When I set up at impact fix, I have the clubface delofted and ball goes very low. Can get away with iron but when with Driver, it just goes too low. So, I try with driver face slightly close rather than delofted and clubface slighly ahead of Hands. Is this correct?

Can you provide more explanation on the impact fix set up, don't you have a delofted clubface at impact, so how do you set up with close clubface.

Thanks.

Daryti,

I don't think it's according to Hoyle, but I enjoy setting my hands ahead of the ball with an open club-face. Square at adjusted address, open at impact fix hands. Much like this picture.

The club head at address is moved back from low point. The club-head is aimed somewhere between the delivery line and the actual target. Preferred ball flight for this procedure is a push draw. The more forward the ball position, the less open the club-head should be in my opinion. Perhaps square or closed if ball position is at low point, which I never want to be...

If I don't do this, I have the same issues as you, low-left.

Kevin

You will definitely be hitting down and out. This picture is exaggerated a little bit to give the general feeling of what we are trying to accomplish. Go ahead and experiment with ball position relative to low point, as well as how open you set the clubface...
