We all know that good technique usually helps anyone to hit the ball longer.
Apart from this... what have you found that actually works for this?
HEAVY CLUB?
WEIGHT LIFTING?
RUNNING?
SWING CHAIN?
LONG CLUB?
HITTING MORE BALLS?
FAST TWITCH MUSCLE DRILLS?
STRETCHING?
A SPECIFIC TRAINING AID?
EQUIPMENT FITTING?
GOLF SPECIFIC CONDITIONING?
What has worked for you? How much distance did your gain?
- Anything that strengthens my hands/forearms

* raquetball
* weights
- Running/Biking makes it easier to swing hard/fast and everything feels more stable. I try to mix in some speed work and cross training with sports like raquetball
- Stretching
- Equipment fitting (still working on this with the driver)
I'm not sure how much distance was gained; it depends how out of shape I was before! The biggest gains are noticed towards the end of the round, but I would conservatively guess between 5-15 yards depending on the club.
The equipment fitting hasn't necessarily added distance I didn't have before, but it's helped improve my technique and increase the consistency of the length of my shots. I expect to add a little distance once I find the correct shaft/loft combination with my driver.
